What Heaven is Saying TodayBy Pastor James Durham

We celebrated Shavuot based on the Hebrew Calendar while many churches celebrate on Pentecost Sunday. As I went face down in the presence of the Lord this morning, I asked if He had a word for today. I heard Him say, “Ice Cream.” That seemed strange. So I waited silently to hear more. Then I heard Him say, “Cheesecake. Enjoy the sweetness of the day.”

As we celebrate the giving of the Torah, we remember how sweet the Word of God is. Psalm 119:103, “How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” As we celebrate the giving of the Living Torah, Yeshua ha Messiach, we experience more of the sweetness. As we celebrate the giving of the Holy Spirit, we receive all the sweetness of this day from Father God. Psalm 19:9-10, “The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.”

Hear again the word of the Lord, “Enjoy the sweetness of the day.”
