What Heaven is Saying TodayBy Pastor James Durham

This morning I entered the Lord’s presence filled with gratitude for all that He has done, is doing and will do for us in the future. I spoke the powerful words of the Bible: “The Lord is good! His love and mercy endure forever.” I entered His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Suddenly, I was given a vision. I saw a dark figure lurking in the shadows near the front of what look like a home. As I examined it more closely, I saw that there was no visible door into the house. It was then that the Spirit told me this was a symbol of our hearts. In my spirit, I heard the words of Jesus in Mark 4:24, ““Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given.” The enemy is lurking at the door of your heart and seeking a way to bring darkness into your spirit today. Remember you are the gatekeeper of your heart and the enemy is trying to get in through your ear gate today. The ear gate is vulnerable today. Be very careful about what you listen to in this hour.

Then the Holy Spirit gave a warning that the eye gate is also vulnerable today for many people. Be careful with the use of your eyes. The enemy is trying to bring darkness into your heart through this gate. Like Job, it is time to make a covenant with your eyes in order to protect your heart. I thought about 1 John 2:15-17, “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” Remember the warning in 1 Peter 5:8-11, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

Stand guard over all the gates into your heart today with special care to protect the ear gate and the eye gate!
