What Heaven is Saying TodayBy Pastor James Durham

Shabbat Shalom!

This morning the Lord gave me a vision of the earth covered with darkness. The darkness was not evenly distributed. There were areas of deep darkness and other areas less dark. Some parts of the earth appeared to be receiving more light. Suddenly the vision shifted and I was watching the beginnings of a sunrise. It was still very dark and I could not recognize exactly where I was located. Many thoughts went through my mind as I waited for the Sun to rise. Then I heard the Lord say, “The Son is about to rise!” When I heard this thoughts raced through my mind and blocked out my hearing in the Spirit. So I will not write about them. I believe this was for a purpose – so the Lord could reveal to you what it means. Listen for the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what He means (“The Son is about to rise!”).

Suddenly, I was standing in a great forest. The leaves were so green and made the trees appear to be full and fruitful. I felt a tremendous sense of Shalom in this place. It then occurred to me that I was in one of the beautiful places in Heaven where His Shalom is thicker than air. I breathed it in and fell so refreshed and renewed.

Suddenly, I had another vision of great chaos on the face of the earth. My sense of peace began to fade in this vision. I didn’t want to lose what I had received in Heaven and sought to hold on to it in spite of the violence and chaos I was seeing. I believe this is one of our spiritual tasks in this season. Do not allow the troubling things happening in the nations to steal your peace. Trust in the Lord and look to Him for what you need.

I felt a deep compassion for the people struggling in the perilous times manifesting in so many places. This experience reminded me of Psalm 42:5-7, “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance. O my God, my soul is cast down within me; therefore I will remember You from the land of the Jordan, And from the heights of Hermon, From the Hill Mizar. Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls; All Your waves and billows have gone over me. The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me— A prayer to the God of my life.” Can you feel the Lord’s compassion over those who are in deep darkness and pain? Are you experiencing that compassion right now?

Suddenly relief came and I was back in the Forest of Shalom in Heaven. This time I was in a different part of the forest and watched a very unusual plant which was moving on the inside as it stood in front of me. It appeared to open in the middle like the opening of someone’s mouth. I was not immediately inclined to move closer until I realized that nothing in Heaven would harm me. Then I saw it. There was fruit located in the opening of this tree in Heaven. I moved in to get a piece of fruit and felt the Shalom glory of the Lord cover me like a blanket. In the vision, I did not get to eat the fruit, but believe it is available to each of us today. This is a quickening or a preparation time for us to be ready for the next move of the Lord. Are you ready for it?

I was led by the Spirit to Isaiah 60:1-3 and then to what I had experience on this day in 2012. The concluding point given on that Shabbat was: “Those in deep darkness will be coming to you! They will be coming to seek the Glory of the Lord! As you rest in the Lord today, receive this outpouring of the Lord’s Glory so that the promise (“His Glory will be seen upon you”) may manifest in your life and in your ministry! As you rest, let the Lord pour out His Glory in you and on you so that it can flow from you to those in such desperate need! Amen and Amen!

Shabbat Shalom!
