What Heaven is Saying TodayBy Pastor James Durham

Chag Sukkot Sameach and Blessed SimChat Torah!

On this eighth day of Sukkot as we rejoice in the Torah and begin a new cycle of reading, we also give thanks for new beginnings. It seems most prophetic since this is Monday and the first day of a new month. Perhaps you need a new beginning this year. Father God is so good and is the master and creator of fresh starts and new seasons. Receive this powerful gift from the Lord and leave the burdens of the past season behind. Amen? Remember Philippians 3:13-14, “Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Don’t hold on to the pain, guilt, confusion or loss of the last season. Embrace all the Lord has established for you with this new beginning. Don’t forget that He has forgotten all you have confessed to Him in repentance. Hebrews 10:15-18, “But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before, ‘This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,’ then He adds, ‘Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.’ Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.”

In visions released in worship this morning, I received three messages from the Lord. A time of judgment is coming upon those who have embraced and for those who have tolerated a spirit of Jezebel. Remember what Yeshua said in Revelation 2:20-22, “Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.” This morning, I saw this prophecy being fulfilled and it is beginning today. This is a time for individuals and churches to repent of allowing this demonic spirit to remain in the Body of Christ. As we begin a new season, repentance will set us free to move in the power, grace and glory of the Lord. Let go of everything that hinders; especially a Jezebel spirit.

Hebrews 12:1-3, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”

The second message was very graphic. I saw the spiritual eyes of those who have abused their seer anointing being removed. I thought about what the Lord said in Jeremiah 23:32, “‘Indeed, I am against those who prophesy false dreams,’ declares the Lord. ‘They tell them and lead my people astray with their reckless lies, yet I did not send or appoint them. They do not benefit these people in the least,’ declares the Lord.” This is also an invitation to repent and get right as the new season opens. What a tragedy: spiritual gifts being removed. There is time to repent and return. If you need this, please do it quickly. Amen?

The third message from the Lord was very good news. I saw the fulfillment of another prophecy in this vision. Jeremiah 30:21a-22, “Then I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach Me; for who is this who pledged his heart to approach Me?’ says the Lord. ‘You shall be My people, and I will be your God.’” Even our desire to draw near is a work of the Lord. When we have a heart to get close to Him and His glory, it is a very special gift from the Lord. This gift is available for those who desire His Presence in this season of new beginnings. Remember how James said it, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. (James 4:8-10)

I am praying for you to have clean hands and a pure heart as we move into this new season. I remember the promise of the Lord for the fourth quarter of this calendar year: Great Power! Are you ready for some great power to accompany your ministry for the Lord? Now is the time for another Acts 4:33-34 outpouring: “And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need.” May the great grace and great power of the Lord be with you as you break forth with a fresh start and a new beginning!
