What Heaven is Saying TodayBy Pastor James Durham

May we get our eyes off the darkness and be ready for a fresh anointing of His glory!

This morning during my worship time, I began to see visions of the Lord. At first, I saw a variety of faces. None of them looked happy and none of their expressions spoke of the Shalom of the Lord. The place where I was standing was dark and cold. Suddenly a large hole was broken through a stone wall a short distance from where I stood. This hole seemed to have been blasted through by an unseen hand. It was not cut or drilled. All the edges around the hole were rough and jagged. Then I noticed something about all the stones in the wall which were now exposed. They were all made of pure gold.

As I looked through the fresh opening in the wall, I saw huge flames on the other side of the opening leaping upward. It may sound strange, but it seemed as if the fire was alive and dancing in the air on the other side of the wall. As I continued to look through the opening and watch the dancing fire, it came to me that I was seeing through a wall in Heaven and watching the glory of the Lord dancing like fire. I felt so much of His Shalom and it felt as if I was luxuriating in the glory of God. My desire was for this experience to continue indefinitely. It was amazing and wonderful to be so close to the Glory of the Lord, to see His fire and feel His Shalom.

Then some people rushed into the room where I stood. They didn’t seem to notice the hole in the golden wall or the dancing flames of His glory. They were rushing around the room trying to accomplish their plans and goals. They were too focused on their own purposes to be able to perceive His gift released for them today. It reminded me of the rush in this season as people aggressively shop for gifts, food and other provisions needed for their own celebrations of the season. I felt a vacuum in the spiritual realm around them. They seemed totally unaware of the reason for the season. A question came to me: Where is Yeshua in all of this rushing, pushing and grabbing of things?

Suddenly all these people rushed out of the room without noticing the huge hole in the wall. Once again, I felt the Shalom Glory of the Lord and it was wonderful. I was drawn closer and closer to the hole and the flames just beyond the opening. Then I saw something wonderful. Through the flames, I saw a group of worshipers in a church I know very well. They had gathered to be close to the Lord rather than to pursue their on wishes and needs. The fire of His glory was dancing in the room and covering all those who had gathered to praise Him. I saw the pastor standing in the fire and motioning with his hands for more and more of the fire to move over his people. I sensed that something big and awesome was about to happen in this place.

It all became clear at that moment. The Lord has broken through the walls of darkness in our lives. He has opened a portal into His glory. He has released His holy fire. He is inviting His people into His presence. The words of Revelation 3:20-22, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Good News: Some have allowed Him to draw them into the place of His glory. A great breakthrough has been accomplished by the Lord and His people are being made ready and set on fire for a fresh season of revival.

Tragically, others have not been able to see what is happening in the spiritual realm. They are rushing so fast, yet going nowhere. They are busy, but not for the kingdom of God. They are excited, but only for the cultural and family traditions of the season. The Lord wants so much more for us. I was reminded of what Moses said to the people standing on the boundary ready to cross over into the land He had promised to give them.

Now Moses called all Israel and said to them: “You have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh and to all his servants and to all his land—the great trials which your eyes have seen, the signs, and those great wonders. Yet the LORD has not given you a heart to perceive and eyes to see and ears to hear, to this very day. And I have led you forty years in the wilderness. Your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandals have not worn out on your feet. (Deuteronomy 29:2-5)

How many believers are in this position today? How many have seen the miracles, signs and wonders, but no longer perceive what the Lord is doing in the spiritual realm? My prayer for you this season is for the Lord to give you spiritual eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart to perceive all He has done for you, all He is doing for you and all He is planning to do for you in the future. Amen and Amen!!!

Shabbat Shalom!
