What Heaven is Saying TodayBy Pastor James Durham

25 February, 2020

During my morning worship time, I received an amazing vision from the Lord. In the vision, I was carried to the inside of a very old Victorian style house. I was standing in what appeared to be the living room. I was looking closely at an old fireplace with a beautiful mantle. There were several antique pieces of art on the top shelf of the mantle. My attention was then drawn to other antiques in the room. The value of all these antiques and pieces of art were beyond my imagination to estimate. The one thing I sensed so powerfully was the presence of the Shalom Glory of the Lord. At first, I had expected the air to be stale and musty, but it was fresh, clean, pure and refreshing.

I was suddenly distracted and seemed to be back in the worship room. So I focused on giving the Lord worship, praise and glory. Suddenly I was back in the house again, and this was my cue (receiving the same vision twice) to send this message out to others. After spending several refreshing minutes in this room, I was led by the Spirit to a long hallway. There was no source of light in the hallway, but it seemed to be safe and secure, so I began to explore. As I looked into one of the rooms on my right side, I was surprised to see it piled high with articles of gold. Many large articles of gold were in this room and gold chains and gold coins filled all the space around the larger items. On the top of this amazing mountain of treasure was a beautiful gold chalice. My thoughts instantly went to communion with the Lord.

I heard a noise in the hallway and looked toward the source of the sound and saw something like a demonic spirit threatening and then moving toward me. It was at this moment that I notice a second treasure room on the opposite side of the hall. It was empty and appeared to have been looted long ago. As the demonic spirit moved toward me, I commanded it to go into the empty room. As it moved through the entrance, I slammed the vault door shut trapping it forever.

The Spirit helped me to understand that in the darkness there is hidden treasure reserved for us. In the darkness there are also demonic spirits seeking to steal what the Lord has provided. I remembered John 10:10, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” As I meditated on this, I came to understand that the demonic spirit was the spirit of pestilence spreading across the world today. It cannot curse those blessed by the Lord and it is time for us to claim our spiritual story and stand against it with the authority Yeshua ha Messiach gave us in Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

It is time for us to stand together and cast out the pestilence. We must break free from fear and remember that when 2-3 are gathered together with the Lord we will receive whatever we ask. Remember that you must not give in to fear. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7) Then I was reminded of a vision the Lord gave me two nights ago.

In a vision, the Spirit carried me to a very dark place. I looked in all directions, but I could not see through the darkness. Suddenly the Lord opened a perfectly round opening above me and lifted me out of the darkness. Now I could see the dark cloud more completely. It was slowing moving and spreading across the Land. Just in front of the cloud, I saw a beautiful sunny beach leading up to a perfectly blue ocean. The sun (SON) was shining warmly on the people below. Palm trees were growing near the edge of the beach and it was very beautiful.

At that time, I didn’t fully understand the meaning of this vision. This morning, I understood that the black cloud was the pestilence moving across many nations. It seems so dark and hopeless when you only focus on the darkness. But remember that the light is much more powerful than darkness. The Light of God is our hope in this time. It is our time to stand together in faith and break the power of this move of the enemy. I was led to Psalm 91:1-8:

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked

Choose faith and not fear. Stand firm in your authority given by the Lord. When the darkness comes, be about His business. In the worst of times the Lord has always released the best of His gifts. Remember what Yeshua said, “Now when these things begin to happen, lookup and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” (Luke 21:28)
