The Lord gave me an awesome vision this morning. I was somewhere in the Heavens looking into a heavy mist right in front of where I was standing. Suddenly something broke through the mist. I didn’t recognize it at first but soon saw that it was the nose of a majestic white horse. Then the head of the horse pressed through the mist followed by the rest of the body and the rider. This all happened very quickly, but it also seemed that time slowed so that I could receive it all in slow motion. As you have already understood, the rider on the horse was Yeshua ha Messiach, King of kings and Lord of lords. He passed by me and I turned to see more of Him. He stopped and dismounted. People gathered around Him and He began to give riding lessons to those who were not confident in their ability to ride such a powerful horse. I watched as He gently taught a woman how to mount the horse, hold the reigns and stay secure in the saddle. One by one, each received riding lessons.
Then other horses came to join us, and each person began to mount their assigned horse. I was having a little difficulty because of my age and the damage done to my knees after a career in the military. The Lord came over and released a special healing anointing for me and everyone who needed to be renewed for this ride. I thought of Psalm 103:5, “Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” I joyously and gratefully received the renewing of my youth so that I could take this ride with Him. Then I heard Him ask the entire group, “Are you ready to ride?” Can you hear Him asking you if you’re ready to ride?
Suddenly, I was carried by the Spirit to a house where a few people had gathered to worship the Lord. As we were quietly waiting, we heard someone come through the door. We were warned by the Spirit that this was not from the Lord. This small group rose together and went to the door where a demon was standing and making threatening sounds and gestures. Together we broke its power and cast it out of the house. As quickly as we did this, another demon entered another door and we moved into action to cast this demon out as well. Then the Lord said, “You must stay on alert and watch for what the enemy is trying to do! His time is short and He wants to get on the inside to harm you and your fellow saints!” I thought of the warning in Revelation 12:12, “Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.”
It is easy to get caught up, in fascination, with visions and encounters with the Lord and it is so wonderful that we have these times with Him. On the other hand, we can never let our guard down. The enemy is persistent and predictable. Remember what Jesus said in John 10:10, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” We need to be ready for both of these words from the Lord. We know the enemy and we know what He wants to do. So we follow the Lord’s caution: “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41) We cannot let our guard down. We must constantly watch because we know the enemy’s plans. “And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!” (Mark 13:37)
But this is not the end of the story. We also have the promise in the second part of John 10:10, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” Do not be afraid! Just stay alert and stay focused on the promises of the Lord! Amen?
