A Fresh Word from the Lord By Pastor James Durham

This morning I began to see a series of visions which were coming at a very high rate of speed. Each one was visible for such a brief time that I was unable to process the information. Then I noticed something in common with all of them. They were all short clips from various news sources being released by the liberal/Marxist/socialist press, the more conservative news media, and the Christian broadcasting companies. All of the images were fear based and were being used by the enemy to deceive us into opening our hedge of protection by allowing a spirit of fear to come through. Then the Spirit led me once again to 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” I received this as the answer to my prayer at the beginning of my time with the Lord. I asked for a fresh word from Heaven to help us in these challenging times.

Then the Lord gave me an open vision which came with great clarity. I was standing outside looking at a very strong building with a high tower made of stone. About half way up the tower, I saw a very small window. This was the only opening into the tower. Then the Lord let me see a believer overcome by fear who was hiding from the dangers of the world in this strong tower. Then the Lord said, “You must not do this! Remember who you are! You are a conqueror!” The words of Jesus in John 16:33 came to me, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

GOOD NEWS! Jesus overcame the world and in Him we too are overcomers. I remembered the teaching in 1 John 5:4-5, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” This is about you and me!

Then I heard the Lord make a decree: “This is harvest time! This is not hiding time! You must go out as a witness to the lost!” Are you ready for it? No one said it would be easy! No one said that we would not face tribulation. What the Lord said is that He overcame and in Him we too shall overcome. Someday, I want to be in the group spoken of in Revelation 12:11, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

Then the Spirit spoke several “what ifs” into my spirit. “What if people saw you walking by faith and overcoming the tribulation in the world? What if they saw you receiving bountiful resources in a time of lack? What if people saw you walking in divine health and healing others by faith when most people are sick and dying? What if people saw you courageously standing up for the Lord and speaking His name with great boldness in times when that is unpopular? What if people saw how the Lord was giving you great grace, great power, and great provision?” All of these “what ifs” are a powerful part of “the word of our testimony!” All of these have been bought and paid for by the “blood of the lamb.”

Then I heard the Lord decree again, “This is harvest time! This is not hiding time! You must go out as a witness to the lost!” Are you ready to obey? Now is your time! This is the day of salvation! This is the hour of God’s favor! Amen?

I pray that we will all step up to the challenge and pray for the boldness which will release another Acts Four type of outpouring of Holy Spirit power, grace and glory on all who are willing to obey the Lord! What about you? What are you praying today? The hour of His return is getting so close. When He returns, will He find faith on the earth? Will He find us doing what He commanded us to do? I pray that He will find us living in our finest hour of obedience and service as harvesters! Amen and Amen!!!!
